Privacy notice
Last updated: 24-10-2026
This notice explains what happens to the details you give us on this website. It's short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Sitehelm is run by Sitehelm Limited, 1 Uppacott Cottages, Tawstock, Devon EX31 3LA. We are the data controller for the details below. Contact us at info@sitehelm.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you sign up on this website, or open a free account in Sitehelm Free, we collect your name and email address, and if you choose to tell us, what you do, how many people would use Sitehelm and any question you ask. We also note where you signed up and whether you ticked the box for offers.
We use them to look after your free account, to tell you when Sitehelm PRO launches, to give you the founding offer, and to answer your question. If you tick the box, we'll also email you offers and news about Sitehelm; if you don't, we won't. We don't use them for anything else and we never sell or share them for marketing.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by signing up, and for offers and news by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
A free account is optional: Sitehelm Free works the same without one. Your name and email are also kept in your browser, so you aren't asked again; clearing your browser's data removes them there.
Who handles them for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. stores the sign-up list for us, in our own Cloudflare account. Only we can see it. Cloudflare may process it outside the UK; transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Cloudflare’s data processing terms. To stop the form being abused, your connection's address is kept, scrambled, for one hour, then deleted.
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect the site.
The Sitehelm app
Your jobs save to your own devices and your own cloud storage. Phone-to-PC sync is optional. If you switch it on, your records (not drawings or photos) pass between your own devices through our sync service, which runs in our own Cloudflare account. Each one is locked on your device with a key only your devices have, so we can never read it. It stays there until you delete your sync space in Settings or stop using sync. When Sitehelm PRO goes on sale, this notice will name the company that takes payment.
How long we keep them
For as long as you have a free account or are on our list, and for up to 12 months after we last hear from you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites and doesn't identify you; it tells us which pages are read, not who read them. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or object to how we use them. Email us at info@sitehelm.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
